Labor Day Update

Hello!  Summertime is finally coming to and end and I am very ready for fall.  I hope Anna likes pumpkins as much as I do, because I am ready for pumpkin flavored everything.  We have had a very busy and fun summer.  Aaron is growing a very successful garden, and we have had lots of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.  Our watermelons are almost ready and I can't wait to dig into them.

We took Anna to the fair and she had a blast running around.  We went through every single animal building.  The goats were the favorite this year (Sorry to our Minnesotians).  She enjoyed the fact they would lick her fingers and weren't too big in size.  She also rather enjoyed the tractors.  If we would have let her sit on that tractor all night, I'm pretty sure she would have.

We have spent quite a bit of time at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  One of Anna's favorite toy is Mr. Potato Head.  She enjoys putting the glasses and his hat on.  Then running over to us to say, "Momma, 'ook it, 'ook it!"

We went to the annual Schmelzer Reunion where Anna got to play with her cousin Maci.  They only 2 weeks apart in age and I have been so excited to get them together.  The cuteness level of them holding hands was off the charts.  They are best friends in the making.

We spent one gorgeous Sunday at Adventureland.  We took Aaron's niece and nephew whom Anna loves.  I will have to say though, that Anna is more adventrous than both of them.  She loved the giant farris wheel going on the lazy river.  I think she is going to be a roller coaster lover like her momma.

Aaron and I both took a few days off and went to Sugar Bottom to camp.  We went on a hike (which Anna seemed to enjoy), went to the beach (Anna hated the sand) and just relaxed.  Anna did take a face first fall when running down a hill.  She had some nice road rash on her chin to show for that one.

I love the face she is making in the picture.  She's been making it a lot lately and it makes me laugh every time.  In this picture, she is making this face because she just realized she didn't have any more milk in her cup.

Saturday mornings have been our garage sale time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Anna is a trooper as we garage sale from about 7:30A until about lunch time.  I think subconsiously she knows she will get something so she behaves.  See below, all smiles!

We found this bed at one of the garage sales we went to.  I was so excited to see Anna in it, I put her in it that night.  She did very well (except Aaron did say she was on the floor when he got home from work).  We had her sleep in it for a few nights, but I decided to continue using the crib for a little bit longer.  She does really well in her crib, never tries to get out and sleeps longer.  Also, this momma isn't ready for her to grow up.  I will probably keep her in her crib until the last possible moment.

We have been putting Anna on the potty for quite a while.  Every one in a while she will tell us she has to go potty and will actually go.  We don't really push her too much, but she does pretty well.

Anna got her very own mini-burrito.  We have a Panchero's lover on our hands.

And this picture was just too cute not to share.  Definately a daddy's girl.

This family is very ready for hoodie weather, colorful trees, pumpkin flavoring and Thanksgiving.  Ahh, we love fall.
